Transactional Attorneys Depart as Small Firm Focuses on Litigation
At least six transactional attorneys have left Miami-based Kluger Peretz Kaplan & Berlin, and sources say two of the firm's name partners may leave after a 22-year association as the firm reorganizes to focus on litigation. The firm officially closed its eight-attorney transactional practice in February. Transactional work, made up largely of real estate deals, dropped by one-third after the economy began to take a sharp turn downward in September, founding partner Alan Kluger said.
